My main management problem is managing my personal life and my family. As many other international students, I live away from my whole family. Even though I enjoy my life here, I am very close to my family and I miss them. I think it is hard for my family as well, but in a different way. Maybe it is actually even harder for them, because they did not make the choice of me coming here, I did, and they just had to live with it.
This situation is hard to manage because I would like to make my family and myself happy (although we are not unhappy right now, but you know…) while following my aspirations, which currently lead me to remain here. Many times, I do something fun here I do not enjoy it fully because I would like to share this moment with them. Also, when I express my feelings to my sister for instance, she often tells me: “just come back.”
Whatsoever, I chose to be here so I cannot complain. My management problem is that I would like to fulfill my family’s and my emotional needs altogether, even though I am not sure it is possible right now, but maybe later; one never knows…

You have made a good choice studying in United State most especially in Baruch College which is one of the best Business School in US. You know what, by the time you finish your studies, I am sure your Family will be proud of you.
Just do your best in order to prove that you made a right choice.

Homesickness is normal unless it becomes a problem. Homesickness wears away with time and when new healthy relationship is form. TCK, MK, or Global Nomad experience this feeling more frequent, but many of them get use to it and learn to adapt very quickly.
